Robot Palletisation Bag Palletiser

If your manufacturing business is in need of more automated processes and efficiency gains in repetitive mundane processes that might be holding your business back, then robot palletisation could be the perfect answer to your problem. If your manufacturing process involves filling up a bag or packet with your product and you’re looking for something to give your business some edge over your competitors then we strongly recommend that you continue reading. A business we recently assisted with robot palletisation bag palletiser is Home Hill Stockfeed which is a family owned business operating out of Northern Queensland providing that provide quality products to the farming industry. In the instance of Home Hill Stockfeeds, the market for their product happens to be seasonal and therefore made it difficult to rely and attract labour in a remote area. Through our consultations we found that by implementing a palletising robot into their production would solve this issue while also minimising OH&S risks associated with bag stacking. The feed bag palletising system has been designed to accommodate various sized bags and pallet configurations and utilises a light weight robotic bag gripper. With easily palletising two tonne of product through to two pallets in ten minutes and when required, the robot can stack over six bags a minute. Our client enjoy the lower costs associated with the robot palletiser as it has ability to operate with no external HMI or PLC. Utilising the Fanuc robot companies R2000 100H robot was perfect for palletizing applications like Home Hill Stockfeeds due to its large working envelope, high payload, and high speed.

Robot Palletisation

If your business is operating in the manufacturing or processing space there’s a high likeliness that many of the processes in place require labour which often comes at a high price and with risk, repetitive and mundane tasks. We were approached by a company, Visy Board who are based in Dandenong, Victoria to consult and implement on a robot palletisation system that would assist with finding a solution for their repetitive processes. In this particular instance however we managed to arrange the reutilisation of an existing Fanuc robot into a new robot palletising cell which became an exciting project for us. The palletising robot is a Fanuc W410i with an RJ2 controller. Despite the age of the existing controller, the majority of functionality required was still present and technologically up to date. With the use of an Omron CJ2M PLC, this controlled the cell, with remote I/O on Ethernet I/P via Truck BL20 nodes. The Fanuc robot now also communicates on a quasi Ethernet I/P level. Dual Pro Face HMI’s are in operation for optimal machine control. From a risk assessment point of view, the RJ2 controller was upgraded in order to satisfy the risk assessment requirements. If you are in the space of considering how a palletising robot can improve your business, Automation Solutions & Robotics can assist with the supply of the FANUC M-410iB series which is FANUC’s latest-generation palletising industrial robot. The M-410iB boasts precision engineering for accurate high-speed/ high-payload operation and maximum reliability.

Robotic Automation

At Automation Solutions and Robotics we get excited about everything to do with robotics and automation systems such as robot palletisation. We know everything there is to know about Fanuc robots and all kinds of robotics. We have a passion with consulting manufacturers on their processes and get excited when we can see an opportunity for a bag palletiser to be implemented to improve their business processes. As an all-inclusive automation solution provider we take our role in the engagement with full commitment. Initially we will begin our consult by taking a review of your operations to understand the way your business currently completes a process that can be automated. Within this we are ensuring that automation and robotics will be a good fit for your business and will become a value add. Part of our review will include us considering the types of products you with to palletise, whether it’s bags, boxes, drums etc. can all play importance in the direction of the palletisation system we may recommend. We will also consider your throughput, being how many cases per hour are you expecting to achieve from the automation process. When engaging with you we would provide our full thorough run down of our initial consult. If you would like to see how a robot palletising system can benefit you and your organisation our highly knowledgeable team can present to you the opportunities the systems can offer. Don’t hold off any longer, reach out to today for an initial discussion and consult. We look forward to working with you and making you another one of our success stories with robot palletisation and more.
