Robot Palletising of stock feed bags

Home Hill Stockfeeds’ is a family owned business operating in Northern Queensland providing quality products to the farming industry.

Primarily being a seasonal market for the product, being able to rely on a labour source in a remote area has been difficult. Implementing a palletising robot into production solves this issue and also eliminates any OHS risks associated with bag stacking.

The feed bag palletising system has been designed to accommodate various sized bags and pallet configurations, and utilises a light weight robotic bag gripper.
Comfortably palletising 2 tonne of product to 2 pallets in 10 minutes. When required, the robot can stack over 6 bags a minute.

The robot palletiser operates with no external HMI or PLC, making a very simple low cost implementation with high ROI for the owners at Home Hill Stockfeeds.
Seemingly on trend, the owners have chosen to be active in the project and take care of mechanical installation, product in feed and pallet locating, as well as construction of the safety fencing.

The Fanuc R2000 100H robot is perfect for palletizing applications due to its large working envelope, high payload, and high speed.

If you are also looking for an intelligent cost effective automated solution to palletise or stack bags or boxes, then Automation Solutions has a solution for you.
